Personal Training
Personal training at The Studio Hereford is all about you. Your goals, your schedule, your pace.
Our certified coaches work specifically 1:1 or 2:1 with you to create a program that’s tailored to your body, your experience level, and to what you actually want to achieve—whether that’s building strength, improving mobility, losing fat, gaining confidence, or simply feeling better day to day.
Every session is intentional and focused. We combine smart programming, proper technique, and real accountability to help you train safely and effectively. You’ll get expert guidance, ongoing progress tracking, and the motivation that comes from having a coach fully invested in your success.
This isn’t a one-size-fits-all workout. It’s personalised training designed to deliver real results—and to help you build habits that last.
Sport & Event specific training
Our sport and event-specific training is designed to prepare athletes for the physical demands of competition. Whether you are training for hybrid events, endurance races, team sports or individual performance goals, programmes are tailored to develop the strength, speed, power, endurance and resilience needed to perform at your best on race day.

Ben Harwood
Owner & Personal Trainer
Hi, I’m Ben - founder and owner of The Studio Hereford, and more recently founder of Hybrid HFD, a hybrid fitness racing and events company.
I have been part of the fitness industry in many different roles since 2004 - first becoming a L2 Gym Instructor shortly after finishing my Leisure and Sports Studies degree at Cardiff Met. Realising a real passion for fitness and teaching, I soon became a L3 Personal Trainer and have continued to add a huge amount of fitness, teaching and assessing qualifications ever since. My experience and roles have led me into so many different specialities in the industry and I have had great satisfaction coaching and guiding thousands of people to better health and success. I have managed fitness and leisure facilities across Herefordshire and had my own personal training business since 2008 alongside these management roles. I have coached a vast amount of clients on a 1:1 and small group basis. From celebrities, elite sports people including professional footballers, rugby players and Paralympic athletes winning gold, silver and bronze medals at London 2012. I enjoy teaching Group Training sessions to larger groups and have recently been specialising in coaching Hybrid athletes in preparation for Hyrox, Deadly Dozen and DEKA.

As a fully qualified level 4 Personal Trainer, specialising in Diabetes and Obesity, I have more than enough knowledge and experience to help others achieve their training goals.
