Hybrid HFD Race Track Event Delivers an Incredible Day of Competition
The Studio Hereford successfully hosted its second Hybrid HFD event and its very first race track edition at Halo Leisure Centre, bringing together athletes from across Hereford for a fantastic day of fitness, competition, and community spirit.
With an impressive 174 competitors across 89 teams, the event proved to be one of the biggest fitness competitions in the region. Athletes competed in Solo, Doubles, and Relay categories, with Male, Female, and Mixed divisions all represented. The atmosphere from the moment competitors arrived was electric, with participants eager to take on the unique challenge that awaited them.
The Halo Leisure Centre track provided the perfect venue, and the event setup looked outstanding. The signature black and white Hybrid HFD branding featured prominently at the start and finish area and at each of the 10 workout stations, creating a professional race-day environment and a memorable experience for both competitors and spectators.
The race format was designed to push athletes to their limits. Competitors began with a 400m run before tackling 10 strength-based stations, each involving either 50 or 100 repetitions of a specific exercise. Every station was followed by a demanding 400m run around the track, creating a true test of endurance, strength, pacing, and mental resilience.
Adding to the professionalism of the event was the inclusion of chip timing technology supplied by Ready Set Go Timing. Every competitor received an official finish time, allowing participants to accurately track their performance and compare results across categories.
One of the highlights of the day was seeing athletes from The Studio Hereford and many other gyms from across the city come together to compete. The event showcased the strength of the local fitness community, with competitors encouraging one another throughout the race and celebrating each other's achievements at the finish line.
The event has already generated significant interest across social media, with competitors sharing photos, videos, and race experiences online. The positive feedback reflects what was clear to everyone in attendance – Hybrid HFD Race Track was a huge success.
Both spectators and competitors were in great spirits throughout the day, creating an energetic and supportive atmosphere from start to finish. Whether racing for a podium position, a personal best, or simply the challenge of completing the course, every athlete contributed to making the event a memorable occasion.
A huge thank you goes to all competitors, volunteers, supporters, and spectators who helped make the day possible.
