Hybrid HFD is proud to partner with Rox Queens, a community dedicated to supporting and empowering female athletes across the UK. Together, we're bringing you another exciting Hybrid HFD Track Race, returning to Halo Leisure Centre following the huge success of our previous event.

Whether you're looking to set a personal best, take on your first hybrid race, or enjoy a fun day competing with friends, this event is designed for athletes of all abilities. With solo, doubles and relay categories, everyone has the opportunity to get involved in an inclusive, supportive and professionally organised race day.

Special Feature

To celebrate our partnership with Rox Queens, every race on the hour throughout the morning will be a Female Only Race, creating an exciting opportunity for women to compete alongside and support one another.

The afternoon will be dedicated to our relay events, bringing an electric atmosphere as teams work together to complete the course.

This event is open to anyone aged 16 years and over.

Our aim is to provide a welcoming environment where everyone can challenge themselves while enjoying the support of an amazing community.

Race Format

The Hybrid HFD Track Race combines track running with functional fitness stations to create an exciting race that rewards endurance, strength and determination.

Athletes will complete approximately:

  • 4.4km of running (11 x 400m laps)

  • 10 functional workout stations

Workout Stations

Throughout the race competitors will complete:

  • Kettlebell Deadlifts

  • Lateral Burpee Over Hurdles

  • Kettlebell Squats

  • Burpee to Overhead Plate

  • Devil's Press

  • Dumbbell Hammer Curl to Press

  • Chest-to-Floor Walkouts

  • Wall Ball Pullover to Sit Up

  • Reverse Sandbag Lunges

  • Dumbbell Snatches

Prescribed weights differ for male and female athletes, while doubles and relay teams have adapted formats to ensure exciting team racing. Full movement standards and weights are available before race day.

Race Divisions

Solo

Complete the entire course independently.

Perfect for athletes looking to test themselves against the clock.

Entry Fee: £30

Doubles

Race with a partner.

Share the workout stations while completing every run together.

Great for first-time racers or those wanting to compete with a friend.

Entry Fee: £50 per team

Relay Team of Three

Each athlete completes designated running sections and workout stations before coming together to finish the race as a team.

Fast-paced, competitive and lots of fun.

Entry Fee: £60 per team

Hybrid HFD merchandise can be pre-ordered via The Studio Hereford website before race day, making it easy to organise matching tops for your doubles partner or relay team.

A limited range of merchandise will also be available to purchase on the day.

Places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Transfers & Refunds

Please note:

  • Entry fees are non-refundable.

  • Entries may be transferred to another athlete up to 48 hours before race day.

  • No transfers can be made within 48 hours of the event.

Do I need experience in hybrid racing?

No. The event is suitable for all fitness levels. Whether this is your first hybrid race or your fiftieth, you'll find a welcoming and supportive atmosphere.

Can I enter with a friend?

Absolutely. Enter the Doubles category or gather two friends and compete in the Relay Team event.

Will there be official timings?

Yes. Every athlete will receive a timing chip, and official results will be published after the event.

What should I bring?

We recommend bringing:

  • Running trainers

  • Comfortable training clothing

  • Water bottle

  • Towel

  • Spare clothes for after the race

Is there parking?

Yes. Parking is available at Halo Leisure Centre.

Can I buy merchandise on the day?

Yes. A limited selection of Hybrid HFD merchandise will be available, although pre-ordering is recommended to guarantee your size.
